On May 19, Robert Garvey and Boris Tkachenko held a mentoring workshop in Surgut, in the framework of the Days of Mentoring

On May 19, the Institute of Mentoring and Yugra Entrepreneurship Support Fund held the workshop “Mentoring as Living, rather than Job” in Surgut, in the framework of the federal Days of Mentoring. The longest and the most significant event was the seminar for active and potential mentors followed by the meeting with young entrepreneurs, potential mentees.

The workshop was hold by:

- Robert Garvey, one of the leading academic practitioners of mentoring, Professor at Sheffield Hallam University (York, UK), author of books and studies on mentoring, YBI Mentoring Peer Wisdom Group member and external consultant and the member of YBI mentoring working group, entrepreneur and mentor;

- Boris Tkachenko, co-founder and CEO of IBLF Russia and Institute of Mentoring, CEO, Youth Business Russia Programme, Chairman of the YBI Strategy Implementation Steering Committee, YBI Mentoring Peer Wisdom Group member, mentor, Robert Garvey’s mentee (Moscow);

At the seminar for mentors, the various aspects of mentoring were discussed in international and regional terms, basic and advanced mentoring skills were studied and trained in practice. Mentoring as support instrument and its advantages were discussed at the meeting with young entrepreneurs.
