Emerson joins IBLF-Russia

Emerson is a $20 bn US-based electrical engineering multinational, focused on process controls, automation, energy, climate technologies and others. In Russia, Emerson’s process controls division is a major supplier to the Russian oil and gas industry. Additionally, the company has a factory and engineering centre in Chelyabinsk, as well as a software development centre in St.Petersburg.

Like many other multinationals, Emerson is deeply concerned about its exposure to corruption in any market, and as a result, has developed very advanced management techniques on compliance and risk management. As a result, Emerson’s top management was particularly interested in IBLF’s programme on “Reducing the Risk of Corruption in Russian Business” which enables leading companies to exchange information and best practices in this area, and to develop collective approaches to specific markets.

Emerson’s CEO in Russia, Johan Vanderplaetse, who will join IBLF Russia’s International Advisory Council, said:

IBLF has been active in Russia in developing the anti-corruption agenda and this corresponded well with Emerson’s efforts to promote the highest business standards wherever we operate. We are looking forward both to contributing and gaining a lot from our association with IBLF.”
