New Developments in Corporate Law

21 June 2011, Russian Institute of Directors and The Russian Managers Association, with the participation of IBLF, held regular meeting of the Committee on Corporate Governance and Investments “New Developments in Corporate Law”. Brook Horowitz, Executive Director for IBLF Russia, represented to the participants the highlights of UK Bribery Act. Harro Graafeiland, General Director, ООО “ТNТ Express Worldwide” (СIS)”, explained the role of management in establishing corporate culture. Vera Cherepanova, Project Manager, IBLF, with specific reference of Hilti, told about compliance system and corresponding training for employees in the company. Rostislav Kokorev, Deputy Director, Corporate Governance Department, Ministry of Economic Development of RF, and Alexander Semenov, Editor-in-Chief of “Joint-Stock Company: Corporate Governance Issues”, member of Expert Board on Corporate Governance of Russian Federal Financial Market Service, spoke about introduction of alterations in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (as related to legal status of joint-stock companies and companies with limited liability).
