Results of the UN Global Compact Network Russia meeting
Andrey Shokhin, President of RSPP (Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs), welcomed the participants and presented the letter of appreciation on behalf of UN GC Bureau addressed to the Management Board of UN Global Compact Network Russia and highlighting valuable contribution to the Conference work.The reports on the Conference outcome were also delivered by the members of UN Global Compact Network Russia Andrey Galayev (Sakhalin Energy), Oleg Dudkin (Russian Railways), Anatoly Ovcharov (Vnesheconombank) and invited participants.
Boris Tkachenko, Head of IBLF Russia, told about IBLF participation at Rio+20 and IBLF report «Experience of Collective Action in Russia», dedicated to development of collective action projects aimed at corruption issues.
Rodion Sulyandziga, the 1st Vice-President of Russian Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East, presented the brochure “Indigenous Peoples and industrial companies: relationship best practice in the Russian Federation”, which arouse much interest among world community at Rio+20.
The Russian members of UNGC received the reports “The Future We Want: outcome document adopted at Rio+20” and “Summary and Outcome of United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development Rio+20”, translated into Russian. These documents are now available on our site.
In the course of the open discussion that followed afterwards, the participants talked about cooperation on strengthening of sustainable growth in the Russian Federation in the framework of UN Global Compact Network.
