Moscow workshop of Youth Business Russia programme

The Youth Business Russia (YBR) Programme is being implemented in partnership with various organizations both at the federal and regional levels.

Similar programmes supported by the global Youth Business International network operate in 34 countries, including Russia with presence in the Kaluga, Voronezh, Novosibirsk and Rostov regions, in Primorsky Kray, as of recently, in Moscow as well.

As for Moscow, the Youth Business Russia Programme is being implemented in cooperation with the Department for Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the City of Moscow, International Business Leaders Forum (IBFL) and Russian Microfinance Center (RMC).

YBR creates conditions for young people to get accessible  finances that would help them set up their own businesses.

Apart from the financial support, the programme arranges for individual mentoring, advising and training in various aspects of running business.

During the free YBR workshop which took place in Moscow on July 6, 2012, the consulting company Expert Systems professionals told the participants what kind of knowledge is necessary in the field of marketing, business planning, how to pinpoint their target audience.

Now the programme participants are expected to prepare their business plans. They will be advised by the Youth Board at the Department for Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship  of the City of Moscow.

The next stage of the programme is dissemination by participants of important information on legal and accounting aspects of running business, and for this purpose another training seminar is planned.

After preparation of the business plan, each participant of the YBR programme is required to defend it in front of the expert committee, complete additional training, receive an individual business mentor and funding within the framework of the programme.
